James R. Morgan III., B.A. is a graduate of Howard University. Mr. Morgan is a Past Master of Corinthian Lodge #18 F&AM-PHA in Washington, DC. Mr. Morgan serves the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia as its Worshipful Associate Grand Historian & Archivist. He has published several articles on African American Freemasonry in various publications to include publishing several works in the Phylaxis Society Journal. Mr. Morgan contributed a chapter on Dr. W.E.B. Dubois to the 2016 work “The Greatest Prince Hall Masons of the Twentieth Century” as well as the 2017 “Lux E Tenebris” Research Transactions which were published by the Phylaxis Society. He was also a contributing Research Assistant to the Official History of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia (1822-2016) by Alton Roundtree and A. Tehuti Evans. Mr. Morgan’s monthly thoughts on African American masonic history are shared on the “Prince Hall Think Tank” which he co-hosts the last Sunday of every month on YouTube.
